1. The city shall assure that all impounded animals are taken to a licensed animal shelter. (Ord. 87-1, 9-8-1987; amd. 2004 Code)
2. The city shall provide for the painless and humane destruction of dogs and other animals required to be destroyed by this chapter or by the laws of the state.
3. The city may furnish, when necessary, medical treatment for such animals as may be impounded pursuant to this chapter. (Ord. 87-1, 9-8-1987)
