Seasonal Volleyball Coordinator
Department: Recreation
Employment Type: Seasonal
Compensation: $300 per season

Duchesne City is accepting applications for a Seasonal Volleyball Coordinator to assist the Recreation Director with organizing and coordinating the City's youth volleyball program.
This position is especially active during post-registration planning, season preparation, and the active volleyball season.
Responsibilities
The Volleyball Coordinator will assist with:
- Recruiting and supporting coaches.
- Participating in coaches' meetings.
- Reviewing player registrations.
- Helping create balanced teams.
- Coordinating season schedules.
- Participating in community conversations and planning efforts related to the season schedule.
- Communicating with coaches, families, officials, referees, scorekeepers, and participants.
- Scheduling game-coverage personnel as needed.
- Assisting with game-day operations.
- Preparing and distributing program equipment.
- Tracking, maintaining, and collecting equipment and inventory.
- Assisting with gym setup and cleanup.
- Completing end-of-day procedures.
- Coordinating score tables and game materials.
- Supporting scorekeeping operations.
- Helping provide an organized, positive experience for participants and families.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
- Have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Have an interest in youth sports and community recreation.
- Be able to work effectively with youth, parents and legal guardians, spectators, officials, City staff, and the public.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
Previous experience with coaching, officiating, volleyball, or recreation is preferred but not required.

Duchesne City is accepting applications for a part-time, multi-duty position providing support across several City functions. This position includes serving as a school crossing guard, cleaning and maintaining City-owned buildings, and assisting with general duties in the City office.
Responsibilities
School Crossing Guard
- Assist children and other pedestrians in safely crossing at designated school crosswalks.
- Monitor traffic and follow established safety protocols.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to pedestrians.
Housekeeping / Custodial
- Perform routine cleaning of City-owned buildings, including offices, bathrooms, and public spaces.
- Vacuum, dust, mop, empty trash, and perform other routine cleaning duties.
- Maintain cleaning supplies.
- Notify management of maintenance issues when identified.
Office Assistant
- Perform general clerical duties, including answering phones and filing.
- Assist members of the public.
- Support City staff with other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
Duchesne City is seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual who can work independently while also supporting a team environment.
Applicants should demonstrate:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform light cleaning and lifting.
- Availability for morning and afternoon shifts, with occasional weekend work.
Previous experience in custodial services, crossing guard duties, or office support is helpful but is not required.
A valid driver's license is preferred.
