Except when it can be shown that adequate protection will be provided against floodwaters of a 100-year frequency storm, only the following uses shall be permitted in the floodplain zone:
Agriculture.
Domestic animals and poultry, the raising and keeping of.
Manufactured housing parks and recreational coach parks.
Parks, golf courses and recreation areas; provided that no dwelling or storage structures shall be permitted unless adequate protection is provided for floodwaters of a 100-year frequency storm.
Any other use considered by the planning commission and the city council to be compatible with the objectives of this zone. (Ord. 93-3, 9-1-1993; amd. 2004 Code)
