Celebrate Pioneer Day Safely

As Utah celebrates Pioneer Day on July 24, Duchesne City reminds residents and visitors to use extreme caution during the current fire season.

Dry vegetation, hot summer conditions, and ongoing wildfire concerns can create a serious risk of fire. Please be aware of current fire and fireworks restrictions before using fireworks, building a fire, or participating in activities that could create sparks or ignite dry vegetation.

Fire restrictions may vary depending on location and land jurisdiction. Residents are encouraged to verify current restrictions and follow all applicable state, county, local, and land-management requirements.

Please celebrate responsibly, keep water readily available where appropriate, properly extinguish permitted fires, and never leave a fire unattended.
